Feed Me, Film Me, Feel Me

'Feed Me, Film Me, Feel Me' is an interactive performance piece featured in the group exhibition at Ponderosa, exploring the theme of eroticism. Inspired by the works of Barbara T. Smith and Audre Lorde, I externalize the veins and blood through red threads, where the kitchen table becomes the battlefield. While eroticism is a psychic request not alien to death as Bataille argues, it's nature as a form of knowledge, power as a common ground among universal oneness, keep being sensationalized and consumed through visualization and mediation.

"The erotic is a measure between the beginnings of our sense of self and the chaos of our strongest feelings. It is an internal sense of satisfaction to which, once we have experienced it, we know we can aspire... Our erotic knowledge...is a grave responsibility, projected from within each of us, not to settle for the convenient the shoddy, the conventionally expected, nor the merely safe. Recognizing the power of the erotic within our lives can give us the energy to pursue genuine change within our world, rather than merely settling for a shift of characters in the same weary drama.

For not only do we touch our most profoundly creative source, but we do that which is female and self-affirming in the face of a racist, patriarchal, and anti-erotic society."
